How It Works

With the FurryLoft™ Dog Safety Seatbelt, your dog stays comfortable and securely fastened, whether he’s in the front or back seat during a car ride.

The simple design allows for ease of use, featuring a strap with a clasp on one end and a seatbelt buckle on the other end.

Simply attach the clasp to your dog’s harness and snap the buckle into place on the seat, then you’re ready to go!

The strap is made from heavy duty Nylon fabric to keep your dog situated during fast turns and sudden stops.

A sturdy, aluminium alloy clasp swivels 360 degrees to accommodate comfort in case he wants to sit, stand or lay down.

Sizing is flexible, as the length of the strap can easily be adjusted for small, medium and large dogs.

1. Does a dog have to wear a car seat belt by law?

It depends where you live, but there is momentum worldwide around ensuring dogs are tethered whilst driving. Beyond the safety of the dog itself, this also ensures they limit distraction of drivers. In some countries such as the UK, driving with an unrestrained dog can lead to heavy fines.

2. Will this fit my car?

Yes! Our car dog seatbelt will fit with all vehicles fitted with regular seatbelt buckle fittings.

3. Do I need to buy a certain size?

No. Our seat belt is length adjustable and is made one size fits all.

4. Will my dog get tangled in it?

In addition to being adjustable to size, the swivel clasp should allow for a bit of movement without the dog getting tangled up in it.

5. Is your product safe to attach to a dog collar?

No. Please only attach the seat belt to a dog wearing a harness. Dog harnesses will help eliminate potential strain of dog's neck in the event of an accident.

This is a life saver for my dog in the car. She was so anxious and had to sit next to me in the front seat. It was not safe to say the least. New Jersey law dictates dogs must be restrained in motor vehicles. I had previously tried to use a harness seat belt and it was difficult to put on and my dog managed to slip out of it. These looked very simple and were inexpensive compared to the harness. I have used them now for a few months almost daily. They are super easy to install (just clicks into existing seat belt slot) and I had no issues moving them from one vehicle to another. They just attach onto the dogs collar or harness and are adjustable so you can give your pup as much or as little room to move about as you want. They're well made and washable. Highly recommended for the safety they provide my pups.

Driving with my dog in the backseat was always easy, until she realized that she could crawl into the front. Invariably, she always did this while we were on the interstate in heavy traffic - 45lbs isn't big for a dog but does make it hard to drive safely when she wants to sit in your lap! I love this product! My dog isn’t the biggest fan because now she can’t jump to the front seat though. No matter what I’ve tried to do to keep her from jumping to the front and back seat while I’m driving, nothing worked. That’s not safe while driving whatsoever. This seatbelt keeps her in a position where she can move around the backseat and still get her head out the window. She always stands on the window button and puts it down more than I’m comfortable with. This gives me more confidence knowing she can’t jump. It’s sturdy, and good quality. It’s easy to use, just plug in and hook up. She doesn’t jump out the car the second the door’s open now either which is great. I highly recommend this for anyone with a dog!!

I was prompted to buy this device after hearing about a friend’s dog who had injured herself jumping out of a moving car. I have an 11 month old puppy who is both mischievous and adventurous. During a trip home with my dogs for Mother’s Day, I decided to stop at a drive-through for some coffee. My pup was in the front seat and without thinking I had rolled the window all the way down. Just outside of the car were a couple of birds fighting over a french fry and my puppy started barking and whining at them. While I was taking photos of her barking at the birds when she decided that she could take both of them on and get the fry for herself and hopped out the window. Luckily she had her harness and FurryLoft seatbelt restraint on and what could have been a tragedy was avoided. I bought these to replace shorter dog seatbelts. One of my dogs likes to sleep on the floor in front of the 3rd row seat of my minivan, and I wanted to give him enough slack to reach the floor while also being secure in case of a sudden stop. I really like this seat belt for Buddy, our 115 lb. Boxer/Mastiff. It gives him enough room to move around in the backseat but not enough to get into the front seat. I have an older care (2001) and was concerned about the fit into the seatbelt. But it fits just fine. Buddy’s safe & secure!

This seat belt fit my 1989 toyota 4runner seat buckle perfectly. I like the adjustability in length (about 22-30 inches). I also like that it has about 2 inches of stretch for shock absorbency. It is well made. The only thing that could be better is the secondary latch. The detent spring on the sliding lock is weak and sometimes doesn’t stay locked. The spring on the hook is good and strong. It takes about 12 lbs. to stretch the shock absorbing section.

As dangerous as it driving, since everyone driving is now texting and paying absolutely no attention to the road no matter what speed they are doing, it makes sense to protect the dogs as well as your other occupants These are well built adjustable and have an elastic section to help if their is a sudden jerk not unlock a fall protection lanyard Fit in the seat build and they are very nice REMEMBER only use these with harnesses or vest DO NOT use with a collar

These are just what I needed to keep my doggies safely in the back seat and out of my lap when driving. They attach easily to the seat belt and are also easy to attach to the dogs’ harness. I do recommend using a harness for the dogs’ comfort and to avoid possible neck injuries. My dogs are older and so don’t chew, but the tethers are not so long that the dogs would easily get to them anyway. Most young dogs could be distracted with approved chew toys during a car trip, so I wouldn’t worry about them being chewed. You definitely are not going to leave your dog unsupervised in the car, are you ?

I really like these dog seat belts. We just got a puppy and was researching dog car safety, was looking at specific harnesses which can be extremely pricey, and we would have to replace them as the dog grows- We already had a harness for our pup so this was a Great option! Keeps the pup in place on “his seat”, he can’t jump into the car seat with the toddler next to him, not to mention the safety aspect!

These inexpensive safety belts are great! Used them yesterday to take my two dogs to the vet. Didnt worry about the drive. Didnt worry about the doggies jumping out. These are tough, well made, clip equally well to the seatbelt connections in my 2005 Subaru Forester and in my 2016 Chevy Colorado truck. They are long enough to allow my Rottie to stand up, move around comfortably and yet stay in the area we put her while traveling. There are two so we can leave one in each vehicle. A great buy - a great product.

I recently purchased one of those covers that connects to the headrests in the rear seat to keep my little dogs in the back. It works great for protecting the seats but they found a way to go off to the side and go on the floor. These work perfect for limiting their exploration when i'm focused on driving! Read through the directions and only attach to a harness, not their neck collars!!

These are perfect! So sturdy and they hook to my dogs harnesses perfectly. They can sit up- lay down - look out the window - but now they stay on the seat instead of running around the car! Also- my girl gets really bad anxiety in the car and this has helped substantially with helping her feel calm!
