Wow!!! I have had 3 dog nail grinders in the past. This one beats all of them by far!! It it very quiet, which is great, especially for skittish pups. It is sooo fast! I have 3 dogs and it would take several minutes per dog, about 30 minutes total. Not with this one. All 3 were done in less than 10 and they were much shorter and looked better than when using the other grinders. It also didn't get nearly as hot as the other ones do. I am very impressed. The packaging is nice. It has everything you need. The company sent paper manuals, but also an email copy. There is also a lifetime warranty. I would definitely recommend this grinder to any dog owners!

This grinder was quick and easy to use on my 3-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer. While she's still fairly young and new to/scared of most things, she didn't seem to be bothered at all during the filing. I used the slower setting with the bigger filing top and it was very quiet. I love the fact that it's larger and extremely easy to hold, no slippage whatsoever! I actually clipped her nails prior to using this, but soon realized the grinder is so efficient that I can eliminate that step in the future! Her nails came out perfectly rounded with no sharp edges. Afterwards, she happily ran around the yard for hours while my husband finished building the fence, then promptly passed out for a nap once inside. She's happy, I'm happy, outstanding product! It's definitely a time saver and easier to maneuver than clippers.

I had been using a pedipaws which was too large and heavy for my arthritic hands. I have 7 dogs and nail day was not fun! I LOVE this device! No batteries and rechargeable like my phone! It’s very compact. The dew claws are so much easier to grind! I cannot say enough about this product! It grinds those nails down in record time compared to my last nail grinder. Very pleased and with 7 dogs to trim, I highly recommend!

My dog hates having her nails trimmed but she doesn't mind this at all. I trimmed her nails fairly short with a regular clippers to begin with and I now use this weekly to keep them short. A little desensitization training at first is helpful. I started by just turning it on and then giving her a treat. After doing this a few times, I tried it on her nails-just one foot at a time and then I would give her a break. I did all 4 feet by the end of the day this way. She really just didn't pay any attention to it at all. Now I can do all 4 feet at the same time and she just lays there. I do think it would be difficult to start with long nails and trim them short with this, but it is great used regularly to keep them short once you have trimmed them short with a traditional trimmer.

We used to use a dremel and this product is much easier to use. 1st off it’s cordless which is very convenient and the wheel grinds better than the sandpaper lined dremel tips. The durability seems great and is very easy to hold and maneuver. I would highly recommend this for smoothing down your dog’s nails.

Bought this to use on my 11 year old Bullmastiff who has severe arthritis, she can barely walk so bringing her to get her nails clipped at the groomers is really hard on her. So I've neglected her nails and they are getting really long. We had a groomer come to our house, but lighting was bad and she was excited, kept falling down, and it was still rough on her, so the groomer suggested I try doing it myself more frequently. This grinder was amazingly quiet and my old girl just laid there on the couch while I did it, no excitement or stress on her joints!! I found some videos online how to grind without hitting the quick and used a headlamp to see what I was doing. Her nails are huge so I had to remove the cover and expose the drill bit. Now I will just use this once a week to try to get her nails shortened. I'm very pleased with this product, cost just a little more than one trim at the groomers, so definitely worth it!

I used this on my Chi for the first time today and loved it. She’s always so traumatized by the grooming visits, this will be a lifesaver. We did like suggested and gave her a small treat each time we used it. That pup loves her turkey. She never tried to jerk away so I felt reassured that it was uncomfortable for her.

I have dachshunds with monster nails. my older grinder stopped working so I just received this today and trimmed 2 of my dogs and I am empressed with this, it worked fast and with the different angles it was easier to get to the nails while they sat down. I gave it 4 stars because I don't know how this will hold up but it seems to be a sturdy well built item.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt this one warranted one! I have a 6 year old mini dachshund and trimming nails has always been rough!! Screaming and biting (from the dog). I’ve tried other nail grinders and she was terrified of them. I came across this one and thought I’d give it a try. It took only 5 minutes to do ALL FOUR paws! She held perfectly still and didn’t fight me a single bit!! She even wagged her tail when we were done!! Hallelujah I think we found the tool for us!!!

The nail grinder is very easy to use. The best feature is the how is not noisy. My dog didn't run from the noise. It's a great product, easy to hold and use and great price.

I wanted to wait a bit before I posted my review. I have 3 dogs, and I wanted to try it on all of them at least once. I have 2 small yorkie dogs and then a large pit bull. The two smaller dogs were pretty easy to manage, their nails fit in the slot pretty good, and they were not really freaked out by the noise of the grinder. It scared them at first, but they were good after that. My big pit was a bit different. He's never had his nails worked on before, I should say first of all. At first he got very freaked out, but that was mainly by the grinding feel, not anything to do with the device. His nails are huge, so didn't fit in there so much at first, but after a few minutes, they were fine. The noise was a bit loud for him, but other than that, the grinder did what it was supposed to do. Since it was his first time, I didn't want to spend a long amount of time on him, thought I would ease him into it. But the grinder seems to work well, and I hope it stands up to the test of time.

This is the second nail grinder I purchased for use with my 7 pound maltipoo. The first one we purchased was too loud and after several tries, I gave up on it. THIS ONE, however, is much quieter PLUS it gave helpful hints to get pets accustomed to having their nails done. I tried it as suggested; with a handful of treats on the counter right next to the grinder, which was turned on. After a few minutes of feeding her treats next to the grinder, I simply picked up her paw and began using it on her nails. She turned her head away a bit, but kept on eating her treats while I was filing her nails! HORRAY!!

Hi, got this in the mail yesterday and finally tested it out. The appearance is nice. It's easy to grip in your hand. It has a nice weight to it. Not too heavy but yet it does not feel cheaply made like other products. The price is good for the product you get. It is pretty quiet so they didn't scare my dog. I like the protective guard around the nail grinder so you don't cut anything but the nail. I think it would be great for dogs that have thicker, hard to cut nails or if you prefer a nail grinder compared to nail clippers. Great little product for on the go needs because it will fit right in your purse, diaper bag or even your pants pocket. Definitely worth spending on.

Our dogs, one is nearly 15 years old and the other is 11 and blind. I could never clip their nails myself as they hate so much. Only option was to bring them to Vet. I was skeptical with this device but gave it a chance to try to save $$. It's very quite, hardly hear any noise. The grinder won't get overheated after the continuous use. Very gentle and super easy to use. Both of my dogs didn't careless while I was working on their nails. They both were so relaxed and ended up falling asleep snoring. Thank you for making the nail trimming without stress for me and the dogs!

I was so very pleased with how quiet the motor is on this trimmer. We have a newly adopted pup and I held it by her and turned it on low first, then to high, and she didn't flinch. Yes, her ears perked up but she was not spooked in the least. She already lets me hold her paws so I know we are going to have an easy go of it in keeping her nails trimmed. The trimmer fits nicely in my hand and is compact enough without making my hand tired from holding. It came with almost a full charge so I was immediately able to try it upon opening the box. It comes with the USB charging cord but a plug adapter would need to be purchased in addition to as it does not come with that. However, I believe everyone who has a smart phone would have the adapter as it comes with the phone package anyway, but they are easy enough to find anywhere and very affordable. Highly recommend.

This nail grinder is exactly what I've been looking for and didn't even know it. I have nail nippers which my dog hates and is hard to use without hurting her because she fidgets and always pulls her paws away. I also have a dremel like tool where it has replaceable sandpaper inserts but the thing is too weak when I apply any sort of pressure. I saw several other's that were similar in design to Casfuy's nail grinder but I ultimately settled on this one due to the fact that I don't need to replace the battery. This nail grinder feels solid, it's easy to hold. The cap stays on tight when it's not in use. The safety cap over the grinder has two openings to accommodate small and large nails. I have a 58 lb Siberian Husky and her nails fit perfectly into the small opening. My absolute main issue with other nail nippers and grinders was that I had an extremely difficult time accessing my dog's dew claw because those other tools needed to be held sideways/horizontally to the nail. With the dew claw being on the inside of the paw, you would have to be ambidextrous to be able to trim/grind your dogs nails down with the other tools. Casfuy's grinder has a better design where the tool is held vertically which means if you're mainly right handed, you can still do both dew claws easily and safely. Same goes if you are mainly left handed. I highly recommend this. I wish I had known a nail grinder of this design existed before I wasted all my money on the other tools. I could easily go to the groomer's to get my dog's nails done but at the end of the day, this is much more cost effective. The noise level is so-so. It's not loud, but the noise can increase when the nail is applied to it. My dog still fidgets but at least I know I'm not hurting her with this tool. I also love the fact that I don't have to replace the grinding bit because it's a diamond grinding bit (again, more cost effective in the long run).

I don't usually write reviews for products, but this grinder has changed my dog nail care profoundly. It is quiet, easy to hold, and the guard is a game changer for me. I have an older dog and a puppy, both with black nails, so clipping is a little scary for me and for them. The older dog has long, hard nails, and he used to literally tremble with fear when I would grind his nails because I would sometimes accidentally grind his toe pads, but now he and I are both calmer because the guard prevents me from accidentally hurting his pads. It is helpful to have two holes in the guard because it gives me good flexibility and easy access to each nail, so I don't have to worry about how I'm holding the grinder. I now feel safe and confident grinding both dogs' nails. I only wish I hadn't waited so long to buy this!

This device is great in theory. A lot safer than trimming your dogs nails and potentially hurting them. But it is a process. It isn’t something that’s going to be quick. It takes time to grinder the nails down one at a time. On top of that, if your dog doesn’t like to sit still it can be a pain. I tried it on my took dogs as soon as I got it. They weren’t scared of the device at all, there is hardly no noise level at all. But getting them to sit still and let me have their paw was a task. They kept pulling their paw away anytime I got close. I was able to get my little dog done for the most part, but my big down wanted no part of it. I had to wait to try again when he was sleeping. He woke up obviously but didn’t try to fight me. I was able to get them all trimmed somewhat down but not enough that a true clipping would have done. It will most likely be something I have to do every day, one session at a time until they are at the desired length and then keep up from there routinely. The product itself is great that’s why I’m giving it 5 stars, but be prepared to spend some time with it.

I was hopeful about this nail grinder after reading other reviews. Our siberian husky doesn't care to hold still long enough for his nails to be done, and especially dislikes clippers - he was a Humane Society adoptee and I suspect at one time or another someone clipped his nails too closely. This grinder was a godsend - it is so quiet my husband said "go ahead and turn it on" when it was already on! It's USB rechargeable which makes it great for traveling and it smoothed our dog's claws quickly with a minimum of fuss. He almost fell asleep at one point. Do follow the excellent instructions on how to accustom your dog by familiarizing him with the grinder, letting him smell it, turning it on and giving him treats. Also some good instructions on how to hold the grinder and how to actually use it. Don't just start grinding without reading! All in all an excellent tool, with a lifetime warranty!

I am new to using a nail grinder, but I found this nail grinder to be quite easy to use. I have used it on my puppy three times - she is small (20 lbs.) and very anxious - so I have only used the low speed setting. I only trim one paw at a time - only spending a few seconds on each nail. I found it easier to remove the guard protector because the noise that my dog's nail made when it came in contact with it was making my dog even more anxious. With that said - I am especially careful to only grind for a second or two at a time (according to the easy to follow instructions that were enclosed). The motor is on the quiet side, but definitely makes noise. Side note: If you are shopping around (as I did), the products that advertise a "mute motor" are advertising falsely. In my experience there is no such thing.

This product was really great and helpful for an inexperienced person like me since my dogs nails are mostly black with only 3-4 being white. I’ve cut her nails once before and accidentally cut one of the black ones too short and she started bleeding, it’s really hard to take it slowly with regular clippers. With these grinders I can definitely take it slowly and check each time as well as watch how my dog is doing throughout the grinding process of each nail. I wouldn’t say the grinder sped up the process for me since both my dog and I are not used to grooming the nails at all, but it was definitely a much better one. One thing I found was difficult was that sometimes you have to hold the grinder in a weird angle since the top only rotated one way, it would be useful if you could choose which way it rotated. If I didn’t hold it a certain way, it would sometimes make some unpleasant and louder grinding noises that probably also felt harsher for my dog. The volume of the grinder itself was great btw, my dog wasn’t scared of it at all, but she was definitely a little uncomfortable when she heard the actual sound of her nail against the grinder.

I am quite nervous to use a normal dog clipper to cut my small dog's nail. This grinder is the solution I have been looking for. It is good quality built. Its weight and size are right for my hand. It has very low noise level that won't spook my dog. The battery life is good. I finish shortening my dog nails and, it still can run. the only thing I wish that the grinder had is some kind of indication to tell me how much charge left.

Our Beagle hates nail trimmings. With my old traditional clippers, I have to muzzle her to keep her from biting and she would fight with all her strength. At the doggie salon, they'd put her in a sling, and she'd still scream and fight the whole time. So I decided to try this Nail Grinder. It is very quiet, and she stayed calm as I introduced it to her according to the instructions (with treats!). When it hits the nail, the noise level jumps up a bit. It startled both of us the very first time. She still fusses when I start the first paw, but no muzzle needed, and by fourth paw, she's lying on her back in total relaxation. Now I try to use it weekly or every ten days, instead of waiting until her nails are longer. The difference is incredible.

This feels good in my hand...not too big, not too small. It is not very loud at all. My dog (boston terrier) could hear it, but it didn't take him any time at all to get used to it (meaning, it is not fear inducing to my dog). Please read the instructions so you know how to use this tool so you don't hurt your furry friend - for example, don't grind the nail in one spot for too long so there is not heat build up, etc. I'm still getting used to using a nail grinder and I'm taking it slow. I love how his nails are not sharp now.

We've tried to use Nail Grinders before and they were typically bulky and noisy. I've owned a few pugs over the years and they always hate these things. Giving my pug a nail trim basically requires an exorcism and the help of 2-3 people or a vet visit for an overpriced nail trimming. While keeping my pug still will always be a challenge this grinder is extremely quiet and doesn't freak him out nearly as much. I was able to acclimate him within a 20-30 minute period which honestly surprised me. I just got this item today so I don't know about the longevity/durability of it, but the company backs it by a lifetime warranty which is nice. Overall I'm very pleased with this product. From what I can tell it seems to be well made. It kind of reminds me of a sonicare toothbrush with a dremel end in terms of feel and quality.

I really like this nail grinder. It is much smaller than my old one and easier to hold and handle. It is also more quiet than my old one and I love the grinding head that doesn't require changing like my old one. I took a lot of time getting my dogs used to having their paws handled. I started using emery boards, then I rubbed this nail grinder on their paws without turning it on. While using the emery boards I turned the nail grinder on so they got used to the sound. I was giving hot dog treats throughout this process. Eventually I was able to use the grinder to do their nails which is wonderful. They don't love it, but they tolerate it. They hated going to the groomer to have their nails done so this is much better for them. Just have patience working with your dog and this grinder will help you greatly doing their nails.

The noise level of this trimmer was way below that of what I expected and works exceptionally well. Although my dog was a bit skiddish at first, he is starting to warm up to it (treat induced). He is much more accepting of this than the traditional clippers. The only minor complaint is that the slot for the larger nails is not large enough for my 100 lb dog (I can easily modify to work). All in all, I would recommend this product.
Stephnie W.
This dog nail grinder is just that a real grinder no sandpaper , rechargeable usb, extreme low noise , easy to hold safety features for not going to short quick to uses. Like all nail grooming you and your dog have to get used to it but it was very quick to do and so easy you should be able to keep them filed Moreno often thus not having to deal with long growth would recommend highly, awsome value
Shyla S.
This grinder is very easy to use. All you have to do is charge it when you take it out of the box. It is quiet so it did not scare my dogs. I am slowly getting them used to it since it is something new to them.

I literally have to wrestle both of my dogs normally to cut their nails (40 and 50 lbs). I thought this was probably going to be another no-go but figured I had nothing to lose and tried it. I was so pleasantly surprised that after a little time getting used to it they were both pretty accepting. They’ll only tolerate it for so long (which isn’t really a problem because on the higher setting it grinds through pretty quickly) and I think you still have to watch for the quick but they aren’t terrified of the grinder they way they are of the claw clippers. I definitely recommend this to anyone with stubborn-footed dogs.

I have a dog who has fast nail growth. I tried using clippers and it was traumatizing for both of us. I took her to the groomers and they had to end up using a muzzle to clip her nails. Fast forward to a new groomer and they used a dremel type trimmer. My dog wasn't over joyed but she did not freak out. I bought this in hopes that I will not need to visit the groomers every 2 weeks to spend $15. for a trim. I took a deep breath, fired it up and we got through the trimming successfully. Treats were had by all. Thank you for making a product that works and works well!
